A tragic and mysterious incident has shocked the community of Lawrenceville, Georgia, after twin brothers Qaadir and Naazir Lewis, both 19, were found dead on top of a mountain just one day after going missing. The young men had been expected to board a flight on the morning of March 7 but failed to show up at the airport. The next day, their bodies were discovered with apparent gunshot wounds, sparking intense speculation and confusion among family, friends, and law enforcement.
Qaadir and Naazir, who were inseparable and deeply close, were supposed to catch a 7 a.m. flight, but they never made it. Family members became concerned when they didn’t hear from the brothers, and their whereabouts remained unknown for over 24 hours. On March 8, a hiker stumbled upon their bodies at the summit of Bell Mountain, located near the North Carolina border in the state of Georgia. The discovery, which occurred around 11:05 a.m., has left the family and investigators puzzled.

“They were inseparable. They loved each other deeply,” said Rahim Brawner, the boys’ uncle, speaking to WXIA-TV. “I couldn’t imagine them hurting each other. I’ve never seen them fight, not even once.”
Yasmin Brawner, the twins’ aunt, echoed Rahim’s sentiments, stressing the strong bond the brothers shared and their support system within the family. “We know them. They wouldn’t do anything like this,” she said. “Something happened in those mountains, and we want answers.”
According to reports from the New York Post, the brothers’ bodies were found with their plane tickets still in their wallets, suggesting they had every intention of boarding the flight. This discovery has raised further questions. The family was also alarmed by the fact that Bell Mountain, where the boys were found, was an area they had never visited before.
“How did they end up in the mountains? They don’t hike there, they don’t know the area,” said Samira Brawner, another aunt. “They don’t know anything about Hiawassee, Georgia, so how did they end up right there?”

A spokesperson from the GBI confirmed that an autopsy has been completed, but the official results are still pending additional forensic tests.
