“I truly believe that she’s a hero,” Sheriff Johnson told FOX 5 Atlanta. “I believe that she potentially saved this officer’s life. We don’t know how far the suspect would have gone with the assault.”
The incident was still under investigation, but authorities indicated that the woman was unlikely to face any charges for using her firearm, as she acted in defense of another person’s life.
