BREAKING: Tragic Bus Crash in Manitoba Claims 15 Lives

A devastating accident in Manitoba, Canada, has left at least 15 people dead after a bus carrying elderly passengers collided with a truck on Thursday.

The crash happened at an intersection near Carberry, about 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg. The passengers on the bus were reportedly on their way to a casino trip.

Deputy Police Officer Rob Hill, commander of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba, confirmed the tragic loss of life, saying, “At least 15 individuals were pronounced dead as a result of the collision.”

Ten others were rushed to the hospital and are currently receiving medical care. Both the bus and truck drivers survived the crash. However, authorities have not yet released information about who was at fault.

Heartbreaking images from the scene showed destroyed wheelchair seats and walking frames lying near tarpaulins that covered the victims.

Leaders across Canada expressed their condolences.

  • Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared his sympathies, saying his thoughts are with the injured and the families who lost loved ones.
  • Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson also offered her heartfelt condolences to those affected by the tragedy.
