FBI Investigating Coordinated Attacks on Tesla Dealerships and Vehicles

The FBI has launched a nationwide investigation into a series of targeted attacks against Tesla dealerships and vehicles, including multiple acts of vandalism, arson, and dangerous swatting incidents.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed the agency is actively pursuing leads related to these events. “Communication and transparency are my priorities. Our teams are working on the Tesla incidents and swatting cases, alongside our ongoing efforts to keep the public safe,” he stated.

🔥 What Happened?

In one of the most serious cases, a Tesla collision center in Las Vegas was attacked on Tuesday. An individual dressed in black was seen throwing incendiary devices, setting several vehicles ablaze. Investigators also recovered one undetonated device inside a vehicle, and at least three gunshots were reportedly fired at parked cars. The word “Resist” was spray-painted on the building.

In another incident, Tesla Cybertrucks were vandalized at a dealership in Kansas City, Missouri. The FBI is working with the Kansas City Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to investigate the damage.

🌐 Broader Pattern of Incidents

These attacks appear to be part of a larger, loosely coordinated movement identified online as #TeslaTakedown, which has spread beyond the U.S. In Canada, a Tesla exhibit was removed from the Vancouver International Auto Show due to safety concerns after threats and protests.

🚨 What Is Swatting?

Several Tesla owners have also been targeted by swatting—a dangerous form of harassment where fake emergency calls are made to send heavily armed law enforcement to a person’s home or business under false pretenses.

Authorities have confirmed that several people have already been charged in connection with these incidents in multiple states, and more arrests may be forthcoming. Investigators are also looking into whether these acts are being coordinated or funded by organized groups.

⚠️ What You Should Know

  • Law enforcement is urging Tesla owners and dealership staff to report any suspicious activity immediately.
  • Investigations are ongoing, and officials expect to release further updates as more information becomes available.

If you see or hear anything related to these incidents, contact your local authorities or the FBI tip line.
