“If It’s a Girl, I Don’t Want Her,” He Said While She Was in Labor—The Next Day, He Lost Everything

The Call That Changed Everything

That night, heavy rain pounded the rooftops of Portland. Wind rattled the windows of old buildings, and inside a small apartment, Hannah Pierce bent forward in pain, gripping her swollen belly as another contraction hit.

Barely able to breathe, she reached for her phone and called her husband.

“Andrew… please,” she whispered. “It’s time. The contractions are getting closer. I’m scared—I need you.”

There was a pause.

Then his voice came—cold, distant.

“You can’t be serious right now. I already told you… if it’s another girl, don’t expect me to stay. I’m not raising a second disappointment.”

Hannah froze, tears mixing with pain.

“You’re saying that… while your child is being born?”

“I’m busy. Figure it out yourself.”

And just like that, he hung up.

⸻

Alone in the Storm

Another contraction tore through her body.

Hannah stumbled into the hallway, clutching the railing, her cries echoing through the building.

That’s when Mrs. Carter, the elderly neighbor downstairs, heard her.

Within minutes, she rushed up, saw Hannah’s condition, and called an ambulance.

While Hannah was carried out on a stretcher—

Andrew was nowhere near her.

⸻

The Truth About Where He Was

Miles away, in a luxury hotel in Aspen, Andrew lay back on crisp white sheets, a glass of bourbon in his hand.

Beside him, his young assistant Ashley laughed softly.

“Aren’t you worried?” she asked. “You’re lying to your pregnant wife without even thinking.”

Andrew smirked.

“She has no ambition. No energy. But you…” he said, looking at Ashley, “you’re different. When you give me a son, I’ll leave everything for you.”

He said it so easily.

As if promises meant nothing.

⸻

A New Life Begins

Back in Portland, after hours of pain—

A baby girl was born.

Small. Fragile. Alive.

Hannah named her Faith.

Shortly after, exhausted beyond limits, she lost consciousness.

⸻

What He Expected… vs. Reality

The next afternoon, Andrew returned home—irritated, but confident.

He assumed Hannah had quietly left, just like he told her.

Instead—

The gates were wide open.

A moving truck blocked the driveway.

Workers carried furniture out of the house—her things, his things, everything.

“What is going on?!” he shouted. “Who told you to touch my property?!”

That’s when a man in a tailored suit stepped forward.

“Mr. Pierce,” he said calmly. “You’re just in time.”

⸻

The Truth Hits

“Where is Hannah? Where’s the baby?” Andrew demanded.

“Mrs. Pierce is safe,” the man replied. “And her daughter is healthy. Her name is Faith.”

Andrew scoffed. “Good. I told her to leave anyway. I’ll just change the locks.”

The man didn’t react.

“That won’t be necessary,” he said evenly. “This house belongs to Mrs. Pierce.”

Andrew’s expression dropped.

“What are you talking about? I bought this house.”

“With funds from her family trust,” the attorney replied. “And you signed a prenuptial agreement.”

Silence.

“In cases of infidelity or abandonment,” he continued, “she retains full ownership of the house… and any business funded by her inheritance.”

Andrew felt the ground shift beneath him.

“That can’t be proven,” he snapped.

The attorney opened his briefcase—

and handed him photos.

Hotel. Aspen. Ashley.

No doubt.

⸻

Everything Falls Apart

“Mrs. Pierce hired a private investigator months ago,” the attorney added.

“And your phone call last night? It was recorded.”

Andrew couldn’t speak.

“An emergency eviction order was signed this morning.”

Just like that—

He lost the house.

The business.

Everything.

⸻

The Final Moment

A black SUV pulled up.

The window rolled down slowly.

Inside sat Hannah—pale, exhausted… but strong.

In her arms, baby Faith slept peacefully.

“Hannah, wait!” Andrew said desperately. “I didn’t mean it—I was stressed—”

She cut him off.

“You wanted a son to carry your name,” she said quietly.

Then she looked down at her daughter.

“But everything you built—with my money—now belongs to a girl.”

He stood there, speechless.

“She will grow up knowing her worth,” Hannah continued.

“And she’ll learn that a man who abandons his wife during labor… isn’t a father.”

A pause.

“He’s just a lesson.”

The window rolled up.

The car drove away.

⸻

The Ending He Deserved

Andrew stood alone on the sidewalk.

With nothing but the bag he brought from Aspen.

He called Ashley.

No answer.

Investors started calling next.

Urgent. Demanding. Unforgiving.

In less than 24 hours—

The man who rejected his daughter as a “disappointment”…

Lost everything.

And finally understood:

He was the only real failure in the story.
